We didn’t have a reservation and did not want to wait an estimated hour so we left. The hostess ran after us and apologized for the confusion. I appreciated that as she did not have to chase after us as we were already so far from the restaurant.
We were seated at the bar. This really sucks when you have a bag or purse and have to hold it in your lap and if you’re seated next to the checkout iPad, it’s a high traffic area.
Other than that, the local buzz and ambiance is nice.
We ordered the calamari, chicken cutlet and greens, and sausage and polenta.
The calamari was okay, the squid bodies were crispy and the typical round slices were hit or miss.
The chicken cutlet was the star of the show. Lightly battered, seasoned well, and you can taste the butter it was fried in, which was extremely delightful. It was a very light dish.
The sausage and polenta was meh. The shishito peppers and polenta were very tasty, but overshadowed by the pool of oil from the sausages making it difficult to process.
Fiorella is a great restaurant by all standards. Their pizza is my absolute favorite. The dough is the best dough, and they have housemade banana peppers which are 10/10. The atmosphere when dining in is always amazing as is the service. We recently ordered a pizza to go, when we received the pizza it was made incorrectly and we went back in to correct. They proceeded to apologize and make a new pizza completely free of charge.
Loved Fiorella! Our experience was incredible! Service was polite and efficient during our visit. Loved the atmosphere which featured tasteful Italian-related decor in a comfortable, candlelit dining area. The menu was simple but filled with several delicious options at a reasonable price point for quality. My margherita pizza was cooked perfectly and so tasty despite its simple ingredients. Will definitely be back!
